Writer • Editor • Children’s Movie Aficionado

Kathryn Cloonan’s life goal is to win Best Original Screenplay before she turns 25 so that she can beat Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, who won the Academy Award for Good Will Hunting when they were 25 and 27 respectively. Until that time, she will settle for linguistic world domination.

As a copywriter, she has begun to take over the marketing world, infiltrating ad campaigns, member emails, product descriptions, and storyboards with her witty wordplay. As an editor, she enforces grammatical rules and proper sentence construction as she sees fit. As a screenwriter and a playwright, she hypnotizes the minds of theatergoers with emotionally impactful storytelling — and she hypnotizes pretty effectively. Her original play Put the Fun in Funeral was just named the second-place recipient for the National Undergraduate Playwriting Award!

While assuming control of the written and spoken word, she balances a double life as a college student. She’s an English and Spanish double major at Williams College in Williamstown (shocker), MA. In addition to working as the Arts Executive Editor for her college newspaper, The Record, she directs original plays and short films and proudly participates in improv comedy and acapella.

Arranging Music

This is a mashup of “Maneater” by Nelly Furtado and “Maneater” by Hall & Oates. Kathryn spent 6 months arranging it by ear (because she ironically can’t read music) and it is one of her proudest achievements. You see, she is also assuming control over the language of music.
